Chamomile Tea

Traditionally, chamomile preparations such as tea and essential oil aromatherapy have been used to treat insomnia and to induce sedation (calming effects). Chamomile is widely regarded as a mild tranquillizer and sleep-inducer. Chamomile tea is referred to as the natural sleep aid. It contains apigenin, an antioxidant that binds to certain receptors in your brain that may promote sleepiness and reduce insomnia, or the chronic inability to sleep.

Chamomile has been valued as a digestive relaxant,which reduces symptoms of Irritable bowel syndrome.Also, it has been used to treat various gastrointestinal disturbances including flatulence, indigestion, diarrhea, anorexia, motion sickness, nausea, and vomiting.

Ingredients :

•  3-4 Tbsp fresh chamomile flowers 
• 1 small fresh mint sprig
•  1 cup boiling water(150 ml)

Directions :

• Clean the flowers and place them in a teapot with mint leaves.
•  Heat water until it boils. 
• Add the water to the teapot and let it sit for five minutes.
